After 12 hours in the air and then 6 days of time adjustment we are finally into a "routine".

The trip over went fairly well. Matthew slept on the long flight from Paris to Chicago but Claire was too excited to sleep. She amazed us! She just kept playing and talking and talking some more. The second flight from Chicago to Kansas City began at what would have been 2am in Paris, and Claire completely conked out. But then Matthew went from screaming to sleeping to screaming. Thankfully the flight was only an hour and a half long, and the people around us were super nice. Most of them had just come from Germany, and one lady even said she totally felt the same way and wished she could cry too. I was thanking God for such patient people.

They were super cute when they saw Grandpa and Grandma (my parents) at the gate. Super cute in a zombee like fashion. They sort of skipped up to them and gave excited hugs. After that they just held their hands and stood staring into nothing. :) We spent the night near the airport in a hotel with my parents. When we arrived, the kids went to sleep right away after a few crackers and Jonathan and I shortly followed. Our kids are extremely scheduled about their sleept, so it didn't surprise me when the woke up at different times in the middle of the night. After all, it was in the middle of the morning for them. We all finally woke up around 5:40am. Our bodies just wouldn't let us sleep any longer. Thankfully, the hotel had a pool which we utilized as soon as it opened at 6am. It was a great way to get some of their energy out!

After a nice "American" style breakfast (Americans eat huge breakfasts. I definitely think I've adjusted to the French way of breakfast, because it just looked massive to me) we ran some errands around town, met up with some friends for lunch and headed to Joplin.

We are staying a in Carthage just a little ways from Joplin where my parents live. Some kind friend are letting us use a little house on their property that works great for us. In fact I think they do call it the "little house" but it seems more like a mansion to us when we compare it to our home in France. The kids are loving all the space outside to run around.

As far as adjusting to time, Claire was adjusted after about 3 days, but poor Matthew had the hardest time! He's never been my best sleeper, and for a while he was up about 5 times a night. Thankfully, after night 6 back in the States he narrowed it down to one (which is his normal).

This week begins our traveling craziness! We are speaking at Prairie Flower Bible Church (in Joplin) for our first stop. After that Utah for Jonathan; St. Louis for Jonathan and I; Kansas City for all of us; Newton, KS; then Baby is due; After Baby there's even more! However we are not completely booked yet! We still have a few May and June openings. We are not opposed to traveling, so if you would like to hear about the amazing things that God is doing in France please let us know!!!

Sorry it's taken so long to post this. Now that we are "adjusted" and have a schedule I'll be able to post more often. Thanks for all your prayers for the flight and the adjustment!
