A Frozen Food Store????

Ok, so I knew that the shopping here would be different. I had been told that there are different stores for different types of food. But this week I actually saw it for myself! There really is a frozen food store. It is lined with rows and rows of white freezers, and it is almost the same size as the "regular" grocery store we go to. Amazing!

Just for your information there are also cheese stores, bakeries (everywhere), pastry shops, fresh fruit and vegetable stores, butchers (you can hardly find these anywhere in the US), and flower shops all within walking distance of where you live! The food and flowers you find at these stores are absolutely wonderful!

Another lesson I have learned is that the big "superstores" (comparative to Walmart and Target) are often more overpriced than the local markets or groceries. It seemed odd to me at first, but I actually love the fact that the smaller businesses seem to win out here!
